Two Hornets Come to Visit

When little creatures appear in my life, I always ask for the ‘bigger’ meaning of their presence. This morning, as I was going through my daily grooming ritual a hornet joined me. Then later when I came downstairs, there was another hornet in my sunporch. Off to Google I went to search for the spiritual meaning of the hornets appearing this morning.

Fertility and sexuality are both the energies of creation, creativity and creative forms.  This is a highly creative time as I’m creating a new business, and I love that it also represents the heart and the Sun Goddess.  So, today as I go about my tasks in moving the business forward, I will ensure I am working through the energy of my heart and asking for assistance from the Hornet Sun Goddess!! 

I watched both hornets as they were caught inside my home.  I opened windows and doors so they could easily exit, and yet they got caught up in the ‘illusion’ of what each of them was looking for - one became fixated on the warmth from the lightbulb and the other paced over and over the window pane trying to find a way to the great outdoors.  In both cases, had they just expanded their ‘search’ a little further their exit to the outside was right there.  

I wonder how often we are asking, and then asking again, for things from the Universe to appear and there …right there... just a little to the side, is the door and window that has been opened for us to go through and receive exactly what we are seeking.  Yet we have become so fixated on the illusion of where we think it should show up, we miss the path that will take us there.  Or maybe we don’t miss it… it just takes us longer to find it!

So today… I’m asking to ‘expand my awareness’ to see those open doors and windows that will guide me to the direct pathways to all that I have been seeking!
